These days, the weather in the North is very hot and sunny, to limit the negative impacts of the weather, medical facilities in Hung Yen province have synchronously deployed solutions to "relieve heat" for patients and their families. At the same time, ensure good implementation of medical examination and treatment in harsh weather conditions.
At Thai Binh Obstetrics and Gynecology Hospital, on average, it receives about 200 patients for examination each day and about 25% of patients are hospitalized for inpatient treatment. According to the reporter of Lao Dong Newspaper at the Sub-Department 2, Thai Binh Obstetrics and Gynecology Hospital is located on the highest floor (4th floor), the air conditioning and fan systems are all turned on. Each hospital room has 4 beds, equipped with air conditioners and ceiling fans.
Mother Doan Thi Nhai (in Thu Vu commune, Hung Yen province) shared: "Before being hospitalized to give birth, I was very worried because the hot weather at the hospital would be very tiring and uncomfortable. However, after giving birth, I have been here for nearly a week, even though I am on the top floor, it is not hot because there is air conditioning and the fan is turned on regularly at the right temperature".

Ms. Phan Thi Bach Tuyet - Head of the Social Work Department of Thai Binh Obstetrics and Gynecology Hospital - said that in harsh weather conditions, right from the beginning of the hot season, the hospital has developed a plan to prevent and combat heat, re-inspect the entire air conditioning system, fans, etc. Currently, the hospital's rooms are equipped with 24/24 turned air conditioners, the corridor has fans, and the outside is arranged with additional barriers to reduce direct heat damage. In addition, the hospital organizes monthly prenatal classes to advise pregnant women and their families, especially on how to prevent and combat heat for pregnant women during the hot season.
At Thai Binh General Hospital, many patients and their families being treated on the 9th floor of building H reported the heat, affecting their health.
After receiving the above feedback, the hospital implemented initial solutions by equipping the hospital rooms with steam fans, while strengthening inspection, maintenance, and re-handling of the air conditioning system.
To proactively prevent diseases during hot days, doctors also recommend that you should pay attention to drinking enough water and improving nutrition, especially for pregnant women. In addition, people are advised not to let the air conditioner temperature in the room be too low, which is a big difference compared to the outside temperature. Limit going out in the sun when not really necessary. If it is mandatory to go out during hot weather, you must wear a hat, sunscreen, and a mask.
