Dozens of workers quit their jobs to gather to demand benefits
In early August 2025, dozens of workers quit their jobs and gathered in front of FLC Quy Nhon Golf & Resort Joint Stock Company (Gia Lai), issuing banners demanding that businesses resolve social insurance (SI) regimes. The incident caused disorder and quickly spread on social networks, attracting public attention.
A worker in the group said that after many times going to authorities and businesses to request legitimate rights settlement, but still not receiving satisfactory feedback or payment of benefits, they had to gather and go to the company gate to reflect and reclaim their rights.
"We have been with the company for 8-9 years but the legitimate regime has not been resolved. I called and texted to ask, but no one answered. The road is about to get sunny and have to stretch banners to demand the regime. The company must answer firmly when and how to pay the workers," a worker was upset.

According to the investigation, as of August 6, FLC Quy Nhon Golf & Resort Joint Stock Company was late in paying social insurance of more than VND 28.8 billion, of which the late interest payment was more than VND 6.6 billion. This directly affects the rights of workers, leading to a situation where 37 people gathered and stretched banners demanding to resolve the regime.
Enterprises pledge to pay the regime
In the face of the above situation, the Gia Lai Provincial Federation of Labor (GFF) has coordinated with the Provincial Economic Zone Management Board, the Provincial Social Insurance, and the Gia Lai Provincial Department of Home Affairs (Working Group) to work with enterprises to promptly resolve policies for workers.
Through the meeting, Ms. Nguyen Thi Thuy - Head of Human Resources Department of FLC Quy Nhon Golf & Resort Joint Stock Company (authorized to represent the company) - reported on the payment plan and resolved the regimes for 37 employees gathered in front of the company.
"On August 6, the company paid book confirmation to 9 people; it is expected that by November 2025, it will pay book confirmation to the remaining 28 people," said Ms. Thuy.
A representative of the Gia Lai Provincial Federation of Labor said that in order to ensure the rights of employees, the Working Group requested the company to seriously deduct social insurance and health insurance in full according to regulations, including employees who have quit or quit their jobs but have not paid in full.

"We recommend that the company seriously implement the payment of social insurance benefits to employees as committed - handling 3 to 5 cases per week. At the same time, it is proposed to request funding from the Group to completely resolve the policies for 183 employees with outstanding debts (temporarily 4.9 billion VND)," said a representative of the Gia Lai Provincial Federation of Labor.
The representative of the Gia Lai Provincial Federation of Labor also affirmed that the working group will continue to monitor and urge the company to seriously implement all regimes and policies for employees; promptly coordinate to handle arising issues related to labor relations.
"FLC Quy Nhon Golf & Resort Joint Stock Company must have a specific report on the labor situation, wages, the state of late payment of social insurance and the solution in the coming time, and send it to the Department of Home Affairs before August 15. At the same time, the company's leaders need to completely resolve the regimes and policies for employees to avoid similar incidents," he suggested.
On the afternoon of August 13, speaking with Lao Dong, Ms. Nguyen Thi Thuy - Head of Human Resources Department of FLC Quy Nhon Golf & Resort Joint Stock Company - said that last week, the company has resolved the social insurance regime for 10 employees. This week, the remaining cases will continue to be resolved.
"During the payment process, the company contacted and discussed with each worker. Basically, they are all in agreement, without any additional opinions," said Ms. Thuy.
