On June 16, information from Can Tho Central General Hospital said that the hospital has just coordinated with many specialties, especially doctors from the department of interventional cardiology, to successfully save the life of a patient with severe uterine bleeding due to endometriosis and pulmonary embolism.
Accordingly, on June 11, the hospital admitted female patient P.D.H (49 years old, Vinh Long province) in critical condition, tired, having difficulty breathing, severe edema, right leg pain and having a lot of vaginal bleeding.
The patient had a history of endometriosis causing menstrual cramps and prolonged kinhstarian secretions, and had been treated internally with oral contraceptives for many months. The patient had a placental culture to treat the condition, but the pain and laryngitis did not improve.

Test results showed that the patient had severe anemia. Diagnosis of endometriosis with complications of eczema causing severe anemia, thrombosis of the limb vein - pulmonary principle.
The patient was actively resuscitated and given a blood transfusion. Regarding the principle of treatment, the principle of lung is to use anticoagulants. However, the patient was bleeding and should resist the indication for anticoagulants.
Interdisciplinary consultations including Obstetrics, Cardiovascular, Imaging Diagnosis... agreed on emergency endovascular intervention to control severe vaginal bleeding due to endometriosis.
The intervention crew was led by BSCKI. Tran Cong Khanh - Deputy Head of the Department of Imaging Diagnosis - performs the procedure of uterine lumps using bio-glue. The chupic image shows that the uterus is supplied with blood mainly from the right right pelvic artery with many branches of the increased cardiovascular system. When determining the location of the bleeding, the crew successfully blocked the vessel after 45 minutes.

The patient's current health condition is stable, no more bleeding, stable survival, and continued anticoagulants according to the lung principle regimen.
