Of these, 204 types of drugs and pharmaceutical ingredients are domestically produced; the rest are foreign drugs and pharmaceutical ingredients.
This is the 17th extension of drug and pharmaceutical ingredient registration certificates by the Ministry of Health in accordance with Resolution No. 80/2023/QH15 of the National Assembly.
The domestic and imported pharmaceutical products and pharmaceutical ingredients whose circulation registrations have been extended this time are quite diverse in terms of pharmacological effects such as drugs for treating respiratory tract infections, pneumonia, sinusitis, schizophrenia, bipolar disorder... drugs for treating osteoarthritis, ankylosing spondylitis and other chronic joint diseases; drugs for treating cardiovascular diseases, hypertension, diabetes, cancer treatment, antiviral drugs, antibiotics, antipyretics, analgesics, common anti-inflammatories, vitamins, topical drugs...
Regarding the work of issuing new and extending the registration certificates for circulation of drugs, pharmaceutical ingredients, vaccines and medical biological products, in the past time, to serve the drug demand for bidding and procurement of medical facilities and the people's needs for medical examination and treatment and epidemic prevention, the Drug Administration has promoted the issuance, extension and urgent settlement of backlog applications for drug registration certificates to ensure drug supply.
Along with the extension of drug and vaccine circulation registration certificates according to Resolution 80 of the National Assembly, the Drug Administration of Vietnam has continuously issued new licenses and extended licenses for drugs and pharmaceutical ingredients according to the Law on Pharmacy.
In the first 9 months of 2024, the Drug Administration of Vietnam has issued and renewed the circulation registration certificates according to the 2016 Pharmacy Law for 12,333 drugs; thereby maintaining a regular supply of over 23,000 drugs with valid circulation registration certificates, ensuring the supply of drugs. At the same time, implementing solutions to ensure vaccine procurement; developing a List and mechanism for reserving and purchasing drugs at risk of shortage at medical examination and treatment facilities.
Regarding drug price management, although the international market situation has many fluctuations; however, with the synchronous implementation of drug price management measures stipulated in the Pharmacy Law, the Decree guiding the Pharmacy Law and related legal documents, the pharmaceutical market has remained stable, without speculation, hoarding, or hoarding to push prices up.
To date, the Ministry of Health has processed 33,938 cosmetic declaration dossiers, the number of dossiers being processed is 3,695 dossiers. Processing orders for importing cosmetics for research and testing for 28/28 orders.
