Recently, the Department also received feedback on business websites, e-commerce trading floors and social networking platforms that have been trading in cosmetics such as hand-carried goods, counterfeit goods, goods of unknown origin; Signs of consuming smuggled cosmetic products and tax evasion; Cosmetic advertising that is not in accordance with the nature of the product; Cosmetic advertising that misunderstands the product is a drug; Cosmetic advertising using images, costumes, names, correspondence, articles of units, medical facilities, doctors, pharmacists, and medical staff.
The Department of Drug Administration recommends that the Departments of Health of provinces and cities coordinate with competent authorities to continue to strengthen inspection and examination of the implementation of legal regulations on cosmetic management for enterprises producing and trading cosmetics in the area, cosmetics circulating on the market.
In particular, focusing on inspecting cosmetic business activities on e-commerce trading floors and social networks TikTok, Zalo, Facebook, YouTube... to promptly detect and handle illegal production and business activities of cosmetics, cosmetics suspected of being counterfeit, cosmetics in circulation that have not been granted a receipt number for declaration forms, cosmetics of unknown origin...
At the same time, strictly punish organizations and individuals who violate the law, transfer the file to the investigation agency for criminal handling according to regulations in cases where there are signs of crime.
