The system of pharmacies plays an indispensable role in the national health data system.

On June 6, at the "Healthcare Innovation Forum 2025", participating in the discussion in the third session: "Currently realizing the vision of people's health care - building a sustainable, fair and effective healthcare system", Deputy General Director of FPT Retail and Executive Director of FPT Long Chau Nguyen Do Quyen shared: "The modern pharmacy chain is not only a place to provide genuine, quality medicine to people, but also plays an indispensable role in the national healthcare data system.

With more than 2,050 points of sale spread across 63 provinces and cities and a team of more than 18,000 well-trained pharmacists, continuously improving their expertise, FPT Long Chau is ready to become an extension of the grassroots health system, especially in the context of Vietnam switching to operating under the 2-level local government model".

FPT Long Chau was evaluated by experts at the event as one of the typical models of the pharmaceutical retail chain in the era of digitalization and data. With the desire to become the "first medical approach" in the community, Long Chau Pharmacy is working every day to become a bridge between the people and the national health system.

Through a wide network and convenient search tools, Long Chau helps people access authentic and reliable medical information. From there, patients can proactively prevent and detect diseases early, not miss the "golden period" of treatment, contributing to reducing the burden on the upper-level health system.

Also at this forum, under the guidance of Doctor, Master of Public Health David Duong - Director of Global Primary Health Care, Primary Health Care Center, Havard University of Medicine, guests focused on emphasizing the need to ensure fair and high-quality healthcare access for the people.

This includes expanding the scope of health insurance, especially for children; narrowing the gap between rural and urban areas through remote healthcare solutions (telehealth); at the same time, enhancing digital services, towards equality in access to health care.

The company also focuses on integrating data into the national digital health ecosystem, both ensuring compliance with legal regulations, safety and confidentiality, and contributing to improving the effectiveness of treatment and public health management. This is also the priority orientation of the current Vietnamese health sector, in line with the spirit of Resolution 57-NQ/TW.

At the forum, there were 2 notable keywords: "innovation" and "data" - key factors in the process of digital transformation of healthcare. In which, data is the core foundation to build a modern, smart healthcare system.

FPT Long Chau is proud to be the first pharmacy chain in Vietnam to integrate electronic identification via VNeID, after fully meeting the strict requirements on technical infrastructure and information security from Department C06, Ministry of Public Security.

This successful connection not only marks an important step forward for Long Chau, but also creates a premise, setting a connection standard for other pharmacy chains, including private pharmacies nationwide that can quickly integrate into the VNeID system upon request.

This is also an important step towards the goal of each citizen owning an electronic health book, preserving all information related to the treatment process, history of drug use, supporting health forces in diagnosing, monitoring and treating more effectively.

Long Chau representative said: "We are committed to continuing to innovate and invest heavily in technology to bring safe, convenient, personalized experiences, towards realizing the aspiration for health care to each household and each citizen. Thereby, contributing to raising awareness of disease prevention, helping to save on treatment costs as well as reducing the burden on the country's health system".
