On March 25, the Chairman of Dong Nai Provincial People's Committee issued a decision to sanction administrative violations in the field of environmental protection against Dong Nai-2 Hospital Joint Stock Company.
Dong Nai-2 Hospital is operating at No. 2, Dong Khoi Street, Binh Da Ward, Bien Hoa City but does not have an environmental license under the licensing authority of the Provincial People's Committee according to regulations, the main form of penalty is a fine of 300 million VND.
However, the additional penalty of suspending the operation of the source of waste without an environmental license of the facility is not applied, on the grounds that Dong Nai-2 Hospital Joint Stock Company has proactively prepared a report proposing to issue an environmental license and is completing the dossier according to the instructions of the Department of Agriculture and Environment.
The company has invested in the construction of a complete wastewater treatment system to collect wastewater generated from hospital operations.
The hospital is currently examining and treating about 2,000 people/day and about 400 inpatients. The suspension of waste generation and the suspension of related examination departments of the hospital will have a negative impact on patients being treated at the hospital and affect the jobs of staff, doctors... working at the hospital.
Previously, on March 18, 2025, the Department of Agriculture and Environment of Dong Nai province issued Official Letter No. 464/SNN-MT on the report proposing to sanction administrative violations in the field of environmental protection against Dong Nai-2 Hospital of Dong Nai-2 Hospital Joint Stock Company.
