At the meeting, Mr. Dong emphasized that at this time, the Party Committee, Board of Directors and the entire Hospital must maintain solidarity, unity, stable organization, and strict discipline and order.
The Provincial Chairman requested not to let changes in leadership personnel disrupt professional activities or affect the rights of patients.
In the immediate future, Phu Tho Provincial General Hospital needs to focus maximally on the task of medical examination, treatment and people's health care.
Ensuring the operation of the Hospital is maintained continuously, safely, and with quality; maintaining full emergency duty, medicines, chemicals, supplies, blood, equipment and conditions to serve patients; not allowing shortages of medicines, supplies, and medical equipment.
Absolutely do not allow the emergence of localized ideology and disunity. All activities of the Hospital must be carried out in accordance with authority, procedures and legal regulations; especially for financial management, public assets, construction investment, bidding, procurement of drugs and chemicals; consolidating internal governance and control in the direction of clear people, clear tasks, clear authority, clear responsibility; ensuring publicity and transparency.

Previously, as reported, the Department of Police for Investigation of Corruption, Economic Crimes, and Smuggling, Ministry of Public Security is investigating the case of "Violating accounting regulations causing serious consequences, Smuggling and Receiving bribes" occurring at Viet My Medical Investment Joint Stock Company and related units and localities.
Regarding the case, on September 2, functional forces issued a decision to prosecute and temporarily detain Deputy Minister of Health Tran Van Thuan for the crime of "Receiving bribes".
Continuing to expand the case, on September 3 and 10, the police agency successively prosecuted and temporarily detained Mr. Le Dinh Thanh Son - Director of Phu Tho Provincial General Hospital and Mr. Nguyen Huy Ngoc - Vice Chairman of Phu Tho Provincial People's Committee.
Both subjects were prosecuted for the crime of "Receiving bribes".
Before holding the position of Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Mr. Nguyen Huy Ngoc used to be Director of Phu Tho Provincial General Hospital, then became Director of the Department of Health.
Phu Tho Provincial General Hospital is a first-class medical non-business unit.
In 2026, the hospital was assigned a target of 1,750 beds by the Provincial People's Committee, an increase of 250 beds compared to 2025.
Currently, the hospital has 42 departments, rooms, and centers; the total number of officials, employees, and laborers is 1,593 people, of which 424 are doctors (accounting for 26.6%).
