Do not take advantage of window frames as sleeping places
Many families take advantage of window sills to expand the bed area or create more living space. However, this arrangement poses many safety risks.
Sleeping too close to the window can be dangerous if accidentally colliding and breaking glass or unintended incidents occur. For young children, the risk is even higher because they are often curious, like to look out or climb onto the window. Therefore, children's beds should be placed in a safe position, away from windows and prioritize near the corner of the room.
Sleeping close to windows, especially in areas near major roads, is also easily affected by noise, bright light or weather, thereby reducing sleep quality and causing feelings of insecurity.
The head of the bed needs a solid support
The bed is a place to rest and create a relaxing feeling for the body. If the head of the bed does not have a solid support or is placed in a too empty position, many people may feel unsafe and do not sleep deeply.
While sleeping, the body often has unconscious movements. If the bed is not securely placed or lacks a support, the risk of impact and fall is also higher, especially for children and the elderly.
Limit displaying decorations that feel heavy and scary
Many people have a habit of collecting souvenirs or unique decorations to display in their homes. However, items with aggressive, gloomy or stressful images such as scary masks, simulated weapons, or dark-colored paintings can affect the mood and emotions of people living in that space.
Conversely, decorations with bright colors and gentle, positive images often make the living space more comfortable and relaxing. Natural paintings, flowers, or images that bring a feeling of joy not only increase aesthetics but also create comfort for family members.
Especially, in the bedroom of young children, you should prioritize vivid, educational pictures and avoid images that cause fear or create feelings of insecurity.
