Attending the opening ceremony of the 2026 Vietnam Workers and Civil Servants Football Tournament were representatives of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and central departments and agencies: Ms. Ha Thi Nga - Member of the Party Central Committee, Vice Chairman - Secretary General of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front; Mr. Pham Tat Thang - Member of the Party Central Committee, Standing Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission; Mr. Cao Xuan Thao - Vice Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front.
Delegates of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor include: Nguyen Anh Tuan - Member of the Party Central Committee, Vice Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, Chairman of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor; Ngo Duy Hieu - Vice Chairman of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, Head of the Steering Committee of the 2026 Vietnam Workers and Civil Servants Football Tournament; Huynh Thanh Xuan - Vice Chairman of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor.
Delegates of the Vietnam Football Federation include Mr. Tran Anh Tu - Vice President of the Vietnam Football Federation - Member of the Tournament Steering Committee.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Mr. Ngo Duy Hieu - Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, Head of the Organizing Committee of the tournament, said that this is a playground of practical significance to train health, temper will and strengthen solidarity among union members and workers nationwide.
Mr. Ngo Duy Hieu said that entering the fourth season, the football tournament has come closer to grassroots trade unions, with a large number of workers, civil servants, and laborers.
The Head of the Organizing Committee of the tournament said that this year's season is organized at a particularly meaningful time when the whole country is actively implementing activities of Workers' Month, Action Month on occupational safety and health; celebrating the success of the 11th Vietnam Fatherland Front Congress; towards the 14th Vietnam Trade Union Congress.
At the same time, this is also the time when the whole country drastically implements Resolution 72-NQ/TW of the Politburo on a number of breakthrough solutions to strengthen the protection, care and improvement of people's health.
Organizing this tournament, we expect workers, civil servants, and laborers nationwide to improve their health, along with Vietnamese intelligence and bravery to contribute to improving labor productivity," Mr. Ngo Duy Hieu said.
Mr. Ngo Duy Hieu also expressed his wish that the athletes will compete with a noble sportsmanship; the referees officiating the tournament will be objective and honest; thereby contributing to promoting Vietnamese football development, bringing grassroots football to spread more and more deeply in people's lives.
