On December 3, the Management Board of Industrial Parks of Ba Ria - Vung Tau province (MB) said that according to the planning for the period 2021-2030, with a vision to 2050, the whole province is planned to have 24 industrial parks (IPs) with a total area of more than 15,886 hectares.
Currently, the locality has 13 operating industrial parks, with a total area of over 7,226 hectares. And 2 industrial parks have been approved for investment policy (960 hectares); 2 industrial parks are applying for investment policy approval (850 hectares); and 7 industrial parks are planning for construction (6,850 hectares).
Notably, 6/7 industrial parks under construction planning are located in Chau Duc district, with a total scale of more than 6,200 hectares. According to the Management Board, except for Phu My Industrial Park (650 hectares) under planning in Phu My town, the industrial parks in Chau Duc district are preparing a general plan to submit to the Provincial People's Committee for consideration in December 2024, including: Bac Chau Duc 1 Industrial Park (1,200 hectares); Bac Chau Duc 2 Industrial Park (1,000 hectares); Bac Chau Duc 3 Industrial Park (1,000 hectares).
Bac Chau Duc 4 Industrial Park; Bac Chau Duc 5 Industrial Park; Nam Chau Duc Industrial Park will be deployed after 2030.
The Management Board of Industrial Parks also informed that in November, there were no new investment projects granted, but capital was adjusted to increase for 2 projects, including: Increasing 4 million USD for the Flanon Vietnam Non-woven Fabric Factory project; increasing 1,399 billion VND for the Hai Linh Vung Tau LNG receiving and regasification warehouse project.
By the end of November 2024, the total investment capital attracted was equivalent to more than 3.3 billion USD. Of which, FDI capital was more than 1.9 billion USD; domestic capital was more than 33,252 billion VND.
