Chairman of the People's Committee of Bac Ninh province Vuong Quoc Tuan has just issued a directive to request the handling and settlement of information reflecting the "promises, house keeping, deposit collection, difference collection..." of the Social Housing Project No. 02 in areas No. 5 and No. 9 in the Southern Urban Area, Bac Giang city (old).
This project also has the commercial name Ecohome Song Thuong.
Accordingly, Mr. Vuong Quoc Tuan requested the Department of Construction to continue to closely monitor the project implementation process of the investor; promptly report and advise the Provincial People's Committee when inadequacies and problems arise.
At the same time, study to have more channels to receive documents and information about buyers who are state agencies, socio-political organizations; consider banning the sale of social housing through real estate platforms.
The Provincial Police presided over and coordinated with the Department of Construction, the People's Committees of Bac Giang Ward, Tan Tien Ward and related units to inspect and handle organizations and individuals who act as sales brokers, "promisers, house sharers, deposit collectors, difference collectors..." in the project.
Proactively check, handle, punish, remove or recommend removing websites and fanpages impersonating information posted or advertised for sale that are not the official information channels of investors according to regulations.
The People's Committees of Bac Giang and Tan Tien wards continue to strengthen propaganda and publicize information about planning, information about the project, subjects and conditions for buying and renting apartments in the project; recommend that people do not conduct real estate transactions in the project when they do not meet the prescribed conditions.
Along with that, inspect and handle real estate consulting and brokerage points located around the project. Organize the dismantling of consulting points and real estate brokerage points of organizations and individuals who install and occupy sidewalks...
Investors need to speed up the construction progress of the project to create a supply of social housing for the market.
Urgently develop and approve the selling price according to regulations. Conduct real estate business in accordance with the provisions of law.
Bac Ninh Provincial Tax Department reviews real estate trading floors that are operating in the area, fines for failure to register business locations according to regulations; strengthens tax declaration management for floors.
In the investment project to build at least 1 million social housing apartments for low-income people and industrial park workers in the 2021-2030 period of the Prime Minister, Bac Ninh province was assigned the target of building 147,100 apartments, accounting for over 14% of the total target nationwide.
To date, there are 77 social housing projects being implemented in Bac Ninh province with a total area of about 280 hectares, expected to provide about 114,400 apartments when completed.
From the beginning of 2025 to now, Bac Ninh province has completed 12,649 more apartments, reaching about 80% of the 2025 plan.
In reality, if the sale and distribution of social housing is not strictly controlled, it is easy to show signs of profiteering. Because this is a type of housing that is often priced lower than commercial houses (due to State support) and the demand of people is very large, especially in "industrial capitals" like Bac Ninh.
