Answering the reporter's question about the deadline for Mr. C.T.S to dismantle the villa by himself, October 20, or whether there will be any extension or change in time, Mr. Nguyen Phu Yen, Chairman of Gia An Commune People's Committee, said: "By the deadline of October 20, it must be completed."
As reported, in 2022, Mr. C.T.S's villa was built without permission on a plot of land of about 600 square meters in a traditional brick and tile craft village in Gia An commune. Discovering the incident, in March 2022, the Chairman of the People's Committee of Tanh Linh district issued a decision to administratively sanction the owner of this villa for illegal construction. However, Mr. S continued to complete the construction of the above villa. The People's Committee of Tanh Linh district and the People's Committee of Gia An commune have repeatedly issued documents requesting the self-demolition of the illegal construction, but Mr. S has not yet complied.
On August 19, 2024, the Chairman of the People's Committee of Tanh Linh district proposed to develop a plan to enforce and dismantle Mr. S's illegal construction, to be completed before September 10, 2024.
On August 20, 2024, Gia An Commune People's Committee worked with Mr. C.T.S, requesting that Mr. S must dismantle the villa himself, with a deadline of August 30, 2024. Mr. S agreed to voluntarily dismantle the above-mentioned illegal construction, but requested time to dismantle it himself until October 20, 2024. Gia An Commune People's Committee did not resolve the request regarding the above time period.
After that, the People's Committee of Tanh Linh district agreed to postpone the demolition of this villa to October 20, 2024 so that Mr. C.T.S. has time to prepare plans, equipment, and machinery. At the same time, the Chairman of the People's Committee of Tanh Linh district signed a decision to establish a Committee to enforce the implementation of remedial measures against Mr. S. The Tanh Linh district police developed a plan to ensure order and safety during the enforcement process to remediate the consequences of Mr. S's illegal construction.
According to the People's Committee of Tanh Linh district, by October 20, 2024, if Mr. C.T.S does not voluntarily dismantle the illegal construction, the Enforcement Committee established by the district will organize enforcement to force the implementation of remedial measures according to regulations.
