In the actual record of Lao Dong reporters on January 24, the entire shape of the open park area has become clear after the corrugated iron fence layer was gradually dismantled. Here, construction units are implementing the "do as soon as possible, clean as possible" plan, focusing all efforts on the last square meters.

At the construction site, dozens of workers are still diligently clinging to them. Groups of electricians are urgently checking the art lighting system and LED decorative lights for the "horse family" symbol clusters, while groups of green workers are completing the last lawns of the "ecological forest" area.

According to a representative of the construction unit, the team of workers has been working almost continuously for the past two days. "Currently, we have completed more than 99% of the workload. There are only a few small details about industrial hygiene, installation of artistic symbols and pruning of ornamental plants to be ready for inauguration tomorrow afternoon," this person shared.
The implementation of this project is considered a miracle in terms of progress. Starting from January 8, immediately after the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee's policy on renovating vacant land areas, this area completely changed its appearance in just over 2 weeks.

Land plot No. 8 Vo Van Tan has a prime location with 4 fronts (Vo Van Tan - Nam Ky Khoi Nghia - Nguyen Dinh Chieu - Pasteur streets). Here, the old Phan Dinh Phung Gymnasium has been dismantled since 2017 to prepare for a new BT construction project with a total investment of nearly 2,000 billion VND.
However, due to many procedural and legal obstacles, for nearly a decade, the project has fallen into a "shelved" situation. The golden land area is surrounded tightly with corrugated iron, with overgrown weeds, becoming a place to litter and generate mosquitoes, causing serious urban unsightliness, causing people and voters to be upset many times.
The renovation of the land area into a public space to open for Tet 2026 is a step to concretize the policy of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee on temporarily renovating and using vacant land areas that have not yet implemented the project, in order to combat waste and create more green spaces to serve the community.
