The project to invest in the construction of renovation and upgrading of Mang Nuoc road from the foot of Binh bridge connecting to road 359 in Nui Deo town, Thuy Nguyen district (now Thuy Nguyen ward, Hai Phong city) has been approved for adjustment (3rd time) by Hai Phong City People's Committee in Decision No. 1272/QD-UBND dated April 19, 2024. In which, the item of building stone embankments, walking paths, and green trees to renovate the Cong Cao lake area is a key project to complete traffic infrastructure, creating a modern, green - clean - beautiful urban landscape for the central area of Thuy Nguyen ward.
From August 2024 to now, functional agencies have organized people's meetings; fully implemented steps from implementing land recovery notices, inventorying, determining land origin; preparing, publicizing and approving compensation, support, and resettlement plans; dialogue in accordance with regulations. In addition, Thuy Nguyen Ward People's Committee has arranged temporary shelters for households subject to housing relocation when organizing land recovery coercion and sent notices to each household. However, 5 households have not complied with the handover of land, affecting the overall progress of the project.
By the end of May 17, due to good propaganda and mobilization work, 2/5 households approved the compensation and support plan and handed over the land. For 3 households that did not comply, on the morning of May 18, the Land Recovery Coercion Board proceeded to read the decisions and implement coercion in accordance with the direction.
The coercion took place seriously, safely and ensured compliance with the provisions of law. The assets on the ground were moved out of the coercion area and inventoried by relevant units, before demolishing the works and architectural structures.
