On June 29, at the third session (specialized session) of the 11th term, term 2026 - 2031, Da Nang City People's Council voted to approve the Resolution adjusting the Da Nang City Housing Development Program (before merger) for the period 2021-2030 and the Quang Nam Provincial Housing Development Program (before merger) for the period 2021-2030.
For Da Nang city (before the merger), the program adjusts the list of areas expected to develop social housing to 72 areas.
In which, the city inherited 66 areas and removed 3 areas from the list approved according to Resolution No. 40 of the City People's Council, and at the same time added 6 new areas to meet the social housing development target.
The list of commercial housing development areas is adjusted to 122 areas, including 120 successor areas, removing 1 old area from the list and adding 2 new areas to meet investment attraction needs in the 2026-2027 period. The new Resolution also officially abolishes Resolution No. 40/NQ-HDND dated June 23, 2025 of the Da Nang City People's Council (before the merger).
For Quang Nam province (before the merger), the list of areas expected to develop social housing was adjusted to 40 areas. This includes the inheritance of 13 areas that have been approved for investment policy and the addition of 27 new areas to implement the Prime Minister's Project "Investing in building at least 1 million social housing apartments for low-income people and industrial park workers in the period 2021-2030". In addition, the list of public housing development areas is identified as including 19 areas to solve housing needs for cadres, civil servants, and public employees transferred and rotated when operating the two-level local government model.
Also in Quang Nam province (before the merger), the list of commercial housing development areas was adjusted to 181 areas. The structure of this list includes 128 areas that have been approved for project investment policy, 14 housing development areas under projects approved by the Provincial People's Committee. In addition, the list inheriting 5 areas belonging to the list of land for bidding to select investors has been approved by the City People's Council, 33 areas for commercial housing development prioritizing investment attraction have been approved by the Quang Nam Provincial People's Committee and Da Nang City People's Committee, along with 1 new additional area undergoing investment policy approval procedures belonging to the BT contract payment land fund.
