Speed up site clearance on National Highway 13
Binh Duong province is implementing many important traffic projects , most notably the project to upgrade and expand National Highway 13. This is a vital traffic route connecting Binh Duong with Ho Chi Minh City that has been built with 6 lanes.
In April 2022, Binh Duong province started a project to upgrade and expand National Highway 13 to 8 lanes. Binh Duong always wants to speed up the project progress, but faces major obstacles such as compensation for site clearance and relocation of power grid infrastructure along Highway 13, to the inside.
Currently, the section passing through Thu Dau Mot city (750m long) has 100% of the site handed over.
Meanwhile, in Thuan An city, the section from Vinh Phu welcome gate to Ong Bo bridge (4.9km) has had over 53% of land handed over (167/315 approved applications). The remainder is expected to be handed over in the third quarter of 2024 or may have to extend through the fourth quarter of 2024.
The second section from Ong Bo bridge to Huu Friendship intersection (2.9km long) has so far had over 74% of the site handed over (74/100 approved applications) and the remaining is expected to be handed over in the third quarter of 2024. .
The third section passing through Thuan An city (4.15km long) has had 88% of the site handed over (108/123 documents delivered). The remaining amount is expected to be handed over this quarter.
Notably, the relocation of power grid infrastructure along National Highway 13, currently the People's Committee of Thuan An city has approved the construction drawing design. Besides, there have also been results of selecting construction contractors. Currently, construction is underway to relocate sections from Ong Bo bridge to Le Hong Phong intersection.
Speed up the construction of Ring Road 3 in Ho Chi Minh City
Another important transportation project in the south of Binh Duong province is Ring Road 3 of Ho Chi Minh City, a 26km section through Binh Duong province.
Currently, contractors are speeding up the construction progress of 4 construction packages nearly 11km long. Construction package 1 (Tan Van intersection in Di An) has broken ground, units are approaching the site, completing construction drawing design procedures and implementing construction and installation. The contractor is clearing and clearing the site and constructing test piles for pillars P11-P14 and pillar P38, abutment A2, and test piles for 2 canal overpasses.
Construction package 2 (Binh Chuan intersection in Thuan An city) has currently completed 23% of the contract volume.
Construction package 3 (section from Binh Chuan intersection to Binh Goi bridge) has been completed reaching about 6.81% of the contract volume.
Construction package 4 (building Binh Goi bridge across the Saigon River), currently the construction volume reaches 42% of the contract volume.
According to Binh Duong Department of Transport, currently the project has disbursed 1,131 billion VND, reaching 23.1% of the total estimate.
For the site clearance project, currently 122.4 hectares have been recovered, reaching about 95%. Localities have disbursed compensation of VND 6,752 billion.
Notably, the 15.3km section of Ring Road 3 in Ho Chi Minh City overlaps with My Phuoc Tan Van street. Currently, the People's Committee of Binh Duong province has sent a document to report to the Prime Minister and the Ministry of Transport on a plan to build a 4-lane elevated highway bridge in this section.
Closely follow the direction of compensation and site clearance
Regarding the progress of the Ho Chi Minh City Ring Road 4 project passing through Binh Duong, according to the People's Committee of Binh Duong province, up to now the project has been approved to install stakes to clear the entire 47.5km route. Currently, Binh Duong Traffic Project Management Board is coordinating with investors to propose to receive site clearance piles in the field. At the same time, the project was announced and the feasibility study minutes of the site clearance project were prepared.
For the Ho Chi Minh City - Chon Thanh expressway, the site clearance pile installation file has been appraised and approved at 16.65km/45.747km. Currently continuing to evaluate and approve the dossier for marking the remaining section.
Mr. Vo Van Minh - Chairman of Binh Duong Provincial People's Committee requested localities where the route passes through to be closely involved in leadership and direction of compensation, clearance and resettlement.
