On the morning of September 13, Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Council held the 15th session, term 2021-2026 to discuss and finalize a number of important contents on socio-economic development.
Before the meeting, Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee submitted a document to Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Council on the decision on investment policy for the project to renovate and repair the Conference Center 46 Tran Phu (phase 1) with an investment capital of 74 billion VND.
If approved by Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Council, the project will be implemented in 2024-2025.
The project investment objective is to serve the 19th Khanh Hoa Provincial Party Congress, term 2025 - 2030.
At the same time, it is a place to organize events, cultural and artistic activities and community activities, meeting the needs of enjoying cultural values, and is a tourist attraction for people and visitors in Nha Trang City Center.
It is known that the Khanh Hoa Provincial Conference and Guest House Center was established by the locality in 2001 on the basis of merging the Provincial People's Committee Guest House at 25 Phan Chu Trinh into the Cultural Center and Guest House and was renamed the Khanh Hoa Provincial Conference and Guest House Center in 2011.
The Centre consists of two main works: the Conference Centre and the guest house. The Centre's functions and tasks are to serve the political activities of the province, including the activities of the Provincial Party Congress, conferences to study and disseminate the Resolution, meetings, seminars; organizing cultural and artistic activities such as cultural and artistic movements.
According to the Office of Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee, Khanh Hoa Provincial Conference Center was built and put into use in 2002 and has not been invested in for overall renovation and repair.
Up to now, the ceiling has leaked, there is a risk of subsidence and collapse causing accidents; the fire protection system is still lacking and damaged, not meeting the fire protection requirements; the tables and chairs of delegates in the halls are old, outdated and not designed and equipped to ensure the required standards of combined sound-cancelling effects.
Investment in renovation and repair is extremely necessary to improve the quality and functionality; ensure the conditions for being the Performing Arts Center of Khanh Hoa province; meet the requirements for serving local political activities and tasks in accordance with the development momentum of society and future development orientation.
The project to renovate and repair the Conference Center 46 Tran Phu does not change the architecture and construction structure of the building and is located within a surrounding open space, so it does not affect surrounding structures during the construction and installation process.
