On December 18, the People's Committee of Khanh Hoa province submitted a document to the Provincial People's Council proposing to approve the Resolution approving the list of land plots to be bid to select investors for investment projects using land in the area.
Notably, the proposed land to implement the Cam Ranh New Urban Area Construction Investment Project with a total estimated capital of more than VND 6,494 billion is noteworthy.
According to the project proposal and the current land use drawing, the project implementation area has an area of about 94.7 hectares, including many different types of land such as urban land (about 1.3 hectares), aquaculture land (45.1 hectares), salt-making land (18.2 hectares) and some other types of land.
The project is called the Cam Ranh New Urban Area Construction Investment Project, oriented to build a modern coastal urban area, synchronous in technical infrastructure and social infrastructure, with mixed functions, meeting housing, trade and service needs.
The goal of the project is to form a dynamic urban area with its own identity, contributing to promoting local socio-economic development, effectively exploiting land funds and gradually making Cam Ranh a leading tourist urban area of the region.
The project's expected population is about 18,069 people, meeting the requirements of the minimum population size according to regulations.
The total preliminary investment capital of the project is about VND 6,494 billion, the operating period is 50 years from the date the investor is decided by the competent authority to allocate land, lease land or permit change of land use purpose.
Regarding progress, the project is expected to be implemented in 102 months, from the date Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee issued the decision to select an investor. The expected implementation period is from the third quarter of 2026 to the fourth quarter of 2034.
Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee said that Cam Ranh New Urban Area Project is subject to bidding to select investors according to regulations, due to its area of over 20 hectares and population of over 10,000 people.
The project is also assessed to be in accordance with the approved planning orientation.
These are the Khanh Hoa Provincial Planning; Project to adjust the general planning of Cam Ranh city until 2045; 1/2000 scale zoning plan in part of Cam Nghia, Cam Phuc Bac wards and part of Cam Thanh Nam commune. Khanh Hoa Province Urban Development Program to 2030, vision to 2045; as well as Khanh Hoa Province Housing Development Program for the period 2021-2030 (2nd adjustment).
On that basis, the People's Committee of Khanh Hoa province submitted to the Provincial People's Council for consideration and approval of the list of land plots to organize bidding to select investors, as a basis for implementing the Cam Ranh New Urban Area Project in accordance with legal regulations.
