On October 10, Mr. Bui Van Hiep - Director of the Management Board of Investment and Construction Projects of Civil and Industrial Works of Ben Tre province - said that the Long Phuoc Industrial Cluster project was invested in two component projects including: Infrastructure investment project to serve the calling for investment in the industrial cluster in Chau Thanh district and Infrastructure investment project to serve the calling for investment in Chau Thanh district, Ben Tre province (phase 2).

Mr. Hiep said that up to now, the Infrastructure Investment Project to serve the calling for investment in industrial clusters in Chau Thanh district, with a land use area of ​​8.07 hectares, has been completed in 2021. Currently, the Saigon - Ben Tre Beer Factory in this project has been operating. Thereby, it has contributed greatly to the local budget revenue.

The infrastructure investment project to call for investment in Chau Thanh district, Ben Tre province (phase 2), with an area of ​​42.74 hectares, has completed 100% of the site clearance. Currently, the construction of infrastructure items is underway, reaching about 61.75% of the volume, expected to be completed according to the project implementation schedule by the end of 2024.

Traffic routes N5, N6, D7 (Km 0+00 to Km 0+135), leveling of green tree plots have been completed and accepted for use on July 5, 2024.

For D8 traffic road and lighting system, the contractor has completed about 82.48% of the work. The gate and fence items of the entire area have completed the rough construction of 2 welcome gates, and the fence piles have been driven, the work volume has reached about 55% of the contract value.

With the centralized tree planting package, the contractor has completed tree planting in lot CX3 (along N5 road) and park lot CX2. Up to now, the construction package has reached about 11.25% of the contract value. For the power grid and transformer station package that started construction on August 30, 2024, the contractor has located the site, dug the foundations of the electric poles; gathered materials and equipment for testing and inspection before installation.

Mr. Bui Van Hiep said that the contractors will complete the construction of the above items by the end of 2024. When the Long Phuoc Industrial Cluster project is completed, it will attract businesses to invest in production and business activities in this industrial cluster.

Previously, on October 3, at the Ben Tre Investment Promotion Conference in 2024, the Ben Tre Provincial People's Committee granted investment policy decisions to enterprises investing in the area. At Long Phuoc Industrial Cluster, Giao Long Paper Joint Stock Company invested in a paper mill project with a design capacity of 1,000 tons/day, with a total investment of VND 1,800 billion. Asia Coconut Processing Joint Stock Company invested in the Asia Coconut Processing Factory 2 project with a total investment of VND 450 billion. N.I.D Production and Trading Joint Stock Company invested in a wastewater treatment plant project with a total investment of VND 145.33 billion.
