On June 16, information from the People's Committee of Lang Son province said that site clearance for the Mau Son cable car project has recorded clear changes in the main areas.
The Phat Chi area completed 100% counting; the departure station area reached 100% of the compensation area; the Mau Son peak area reached over 95%.
These are important positions in the overall project, directly related to the preparation of ground for key items such as departure stations, arrival stations and cable car lines.
To date, more than 150 households and individuals in the project area have coordinated to conduct inventory. Over 60 households have received advance compensation and support money and handed over the site in advance.
Some households also voluntarily relocated dozens of graves, creating conditions for localities and investors to implement the next steps.
The Mau Son eco-tourism and cable car complex project is identified by Lang Son as a key project with strategic significance for the socio-economic development of the province.

When completed, the project is expected to effectively exploit the tourism potential of Mau Son, promote trade and services, create more jobs and livelihoods for local people.
Currently, the remaining work focuses on handling problems related to compensation, support, resettlement and relocation of some technical infrastructure works within the project scope. These works include the Hydrometeorological Station, VOV Radio Station, VNPT Radio Station and 110kV power lines.
The province requests investors to coordinate with the Provincial Land Fund Development Center to agree on a plan to advance funds to implement compensation, support, and resettlement for the above 4 technical infrastructure projects," the provincial leader said.
The relocation must ensure compliance with regulations, and at the same time soon hand over a clean site to serve the project implementation.
Investors are also required to focus financial resources, human resources and means to implement the project according to the plan. In which, the payment of compensation and support money that has been approved must be fully and promptly implemented, including interest incurred due to late payment.
For households that still have problems, local authorities continue to dialogue, propagate, and mobilize to create consensus.
Mau Son and Loc Binh communes are assigned to review and complete dossiers to serve site clearance work, ensuring unified data, in accordance with procedures and legal regulations.
For the case in the Mau Son Dinh wine cellar area, Khuoi Cap village, it is assigned to the local government to coordinate with the Provincial Land Fund Development Center to organize dialogues and mobilization. If households do not cooperate, mandatory counting will be carried out according to regulations.
The Provincial Land Fund Development Center is assigned to preside over working with relevant agencies and units to agree on a plan to relocate 4 technical infrastructure projects.
Lang Son is also oriented to coordinate with investors to build a preferential mechanism for using local labor, especially children of households whose land is recovered and directly affected by the project.
When the project comes into operation, local people are expected to have more opportunities to work, do business services, and improve their income.
Mau Son peak (Lang Son) is recognized as the coldest place in Vietnam with an average annual temperature of only about 13°C.
Located at an altitude of 1,500m - 1,600m above sea level, this place regularly records negative temperatures along with ice and snowfall in winter.
