On the afternoon of April 3, in Hanoi, the Delegation of National Assembly Deputies of Lang Son province worked with Sun Group to exchange views on the implementation of the Mau Son eco-tourism and cable car complex project.
Attending the working session were Mr. Tran Sy Thanh - Member of the Politburo, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Chairman of the Central Inspection Committee, National Assembly delegate of Lang Son province, 16th term - along with leaders of the Provincial Party Committee and People's Committee of Lang Son province.
On the Sun Group side, Mr. Tran Minh Son - Standing Vice Chairman of the Group's Board of Directors - was the head of the delegation. Also attending was Mr. Dang Minh Truong, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Sun Group.
Speaking at the working session, Mr. Tran Sy Thanh affirmed that the Mau Son eco-tourism and cable car complex project is a key project, which Lang Son province hopes will create a new impetus for local socio-economic development.
According to Mr. Tran Sy Thanh, the project started in mid-2022, but was later interrupted. Recently, the project has just begun to show signs of restarting.
He said that through voter meetings in Lang Son, the Party Committee, government and people of ethnic groups in the province all want the project to be accelerated to soon put into operation, promoting the potential and advantages of Mau Son.
In his role as a National Assembly delegate of Lang Son province, Mr. Tran Sy Thanh requested Sun Group to urgently complete the necessary steps to soon construct the items belonging to phase 1, thereby putting the project into operation, meeting the expectations of voters and local people.
According to him, if implemented on schedule, the project will not only contribute to effectively exploiting the tourism potential of Mau Son but also open up new growth momentum for Lang Son in the coming period.
On behalf of Sun Group, Mr. Tran Minh Son said that the Mau Son eco-tourism and cable car complex project is identified by the group as one of the driving projects, converging many potentials and advantages and is expected to create a unique mark in the business's investment ecosystem.
Leaders of Sun Group affirmed that the group is determined to implement the project in 2026. In the immediate future, the enterprise will construct items belonging to phase 1 right this year and strive to put it into operation by the end of 2027.
Mau Son is a mountainous area located in the Northeast of Lang Son province, about 30 km from the center of the old Lang Son city. This area is famous for its diverse natural landscapes, including primeval forests, streams, waterfalls and the characteristic climate of high mountains.
Mau Son tourist area includes a complex of about 80 large and small mountains, of which the highest is Phia Po peak (Cha Mountain) 1,541 m high and Phia Me peak (Mother Mountain) 1,520 m high.
The Mau Son eco-tourism and cable car complex project has a scale of 692.26 ha, with a total investment of more than 7,300 billion VND, and is being implemented in Mau Son National Tourist Area. The investor is Mau Son Sun Co., Ltd.
