On June 12, in an exchange with Lao Dong Newspaper, Mr. Bui Xuan Truong - Vice Chairman of Toan Thang Commune People's Committee said that the locality has requested the management unit to temporarily stop tourism exploitation at Trang waterfall.
According to Mr. Truong, the temporary suspension of operations is aimed at preventing tourists from entering the waterfall swimming area during the comprehensive review and assessment of safety assurance conditions.
The locality is coordinating with functional agencies to inspect and re-evaluate the entire Thac Trang area, especially locations with potential safety risks for tourists," Mr. Truong said.
Also according to the leader of Toan Thang Commune People's Committee, the tourist site management unit is required to strengthen the warning sign system, zone dangerous areas and supplement safety measures before welcoming tourists back.
