The Da Nang University Village project was approved by the Prime Minister in 1997 with a total area of 300 hectares, located in the border area of two localities, Quang Nam and Da Nang. Of which, about 110 hectares belong to Hoa Quy ward, Ngu Hanh Son district, Da Nang city and nearly 190 hectares belong to Dien Ngoc ward, Dien Ban town, Quang Nam province.
In phase 1 of the project, Ngu Hanh Son district has completely cleared the land for 41 hectares, 526 house records and 1,457 graves. However, phase 2 of the Da Nang University Village Project has not been implemented yet. Many people have to live in a state of degraded houses that cannot be repaired.
According to the People's Committee of Ngu Hanh Son district, on October 14, the Ministry of Education and Training issued a decision approving the investment policy of the Project on Compensation, Site Clearance and Construction of Technical Infrastructure for the 31.05ha area in Hoa Quy Ward, Ngu Hanh Son District, Da Nang City - Da Nang University.
On October 21, the Ngu Hanh Son District Land Clearance Board also had a plan to carry out compensation, site clearance and resettlement for the compensation, site clearance and technical infrastructure construction project in the 31.05ha area of Hoa Quy Ward for Da Nang University to use as a basis for submitting the project investment feasibility study report for appraisal. Ngu Hanh Son District People's Committee said that the time to carry out compensation and site clearance work is from the beginning of 2025.
