The Secretary of the Da Nang City Party Committee said that the city has made great efforts in implementing the Da Nang University Village Project, hoping to soon have a mechanism to implement phase 2 of the project.

On October 2, at the meeting with voters to prepare for the 8th Session of the 15th National Assembly in Ngu Hanh Son district, voter Pham Tiet Vi - Group 60, Hoa Quy ward, Ngu Hanh Son district made recommendations related to the Da Nang University Village Project.

According to Mr. Vi, the Da Nang University Village Project has implemented phase 1, clearing the land for 41 hectares, 526 house records and 1,457 graves. Phase 2 of the project has not been implemented yet, the remaining households still face many difficulties.

"The families that were cleared in phase 1 have now stabilized their lives and have new, better places to live, so the remaining households also hope the city will soon resolve the issue," said Mr. Vi.

Responding to voters' opinions, Mr. Nguyen Van Quang - Secretary of the Da Nang City Party Committee requested the People's Committee of Ngu Hanh Son District to send a specific report to the City People's Committee and the National Assembly delegation to consider and evaluate the feasibility of phase 2 of this project.

“If the central authorities do not decide to implement phase 2, the planning may have to be canceled to ensure people's lives. If it continues, a mechanism must be established for the city to resolve the issue as in phase 1," Mr. Quang emphasized.

The Secretary of the Da Nang City Party Committee also added that completing phase 1 of the Da Nang University Village Project is the city's determination in this term. If it is implemented while waiting for instructions from the central government, it will not be possible.

Therefore, in the last term, the city leaders decided to use the city budget to invest in resettlement areas for people during the clearance process.
