On September 18, Di An Ward People's Committee (HCMC) organized a meeting to inform households about land acquisition, compensation, support and relocation of graves at the public cemetery area managed by the State in Dong Tac neighborhood, Di An ward, HCMC.
According to the project approval decision, the land area for compensation and clearance has a total area of more than 16,606 m2, including 2 land areas. In which, area 1 has an area of 10,798 m2 and area 2 has an area of about 5,809 m2. The project aims to clear graves in the public cemetery area managed by the State, to create land fund to serve the construction of parks and schools.
According to the approved plan, the project is expected to implement compensation, support and relocation of more than 1,300 graves.
The cost of compensation and site clearance is 40.45 billion VND. In addition, the project also implements the construction of a system of fences, main gates, auxiliary gates, leveling ground, sidewalks and concrete roads connected to existing traffic. The total investment of the project is nearly 49.92 billion VND from the additional City budget; project implementation time is in the 2026-2028 period.
According to Di An Ward People's Committee, through the conference, the ward hopes that people will clearly understand the objectives, scope and contents related to the project; and at the same time coordinate with functional agencies in the process of inventorying, verifying, developing compensation and support plans and implementing relocation. Thereby contributing to ensuring the project is implemented publicly, in accordance with regulations and the set progress.
At the conference, the organizing committee exchanged and answered people's concerns related to inventory work, determining the current status of graves, compensation and support policies, and relocation plans.
