In 2014, Bau Bang district was officially established on the basis of separation from the former Ben Cat district. In just 10 years, Bau Bang district has developed strongly on the foundation of industrial development.
In a short time, Bau Bang district has attracted 1,463 projects, of which 1,214 are domestic investment projects with a total registered capital of over VND 32,535 billion. Bau Bang is also an attractive destination for foreign investors with 249 projects, with a total registered capital of over USD 4.53 billion.
Foreign capital is focused on investing in Bau Bang Industrial Park, which has been in operation since 2015 with an area of 2,000 hectares. This is the largest industrial park in Binh Duong province, invested by the Industrial Development and Investment Corporation - JSC.
Bau Bang Industrial Park is located in Lai Hung commune and Lai Uyen town, Bau Bang district of Binh Duong province. Bau Bang Industrial Park has an area of over 2,000 hectares (including about 1,000 hectares of industrial development land and 1,000 hectares of service and urban land).
Most of the projects are invested in the fields of processing, manufacturing and high-tech industries. These projects have opened up many opportunities to contribute to increasing the production capacity of the processing, manufacturing and high-tech industries of the province. At the same time, they have created tens of thousands of jobs for workers from other provinces who have come here to work.
With the advantage of large area, Bau Bang Industrial Park has attracted many large investors to build export production factory projects, creating thousands of jobs for workers.
One example is the project of Ampacs International Co., Ltd., which has built many factory blocks on an area of 6.8 hectares to produce the largest headphones in Binh Duong. The project, built since 2019, has been put into operation and is creating jobs for about 7,000 workers.
Notably, Polytex Far Eastern Vietnam Co., Ltd. also chose Bau Bang Industrial Park. The land lease area of this company is up to 99 hectares, building a massive factory system specializing in the production of synthetic fibers and textiles.
According to the People's Committee of Binh Duong province, this is the foreign enterprise with the largest investment capital in Binh Duong. At the end of 2023, this company registered to increase its capital with a total investment of 1.37 billion USD.
According to the People's Committee of Binh Duong province, the province continues to attract foreign investment. In addition, the province is implementing a project to convert functions and relocate factories located outside industrial parks in the South to well-planned industrial parks in the North of the province.
Bau Bang is one of the localities with good infrastructure to welcome the investment wave. Notably, the province and investment units are currently implementing the expansion of Bau Bang Industrial Park and Cay Truong Industrial Park in Bau Bang district to welcome investors.
