Expecting to create jobs for 20,000 workers
Hung Phu Industrial Park (IP) is located in Hung Phu commune, Hung Yen province, with a total investment of nearly 2,000 billion VND. Currently, the IP is expanding phase 2 with an area of 109.08ha, aiming to form a modern IP in the coastal area of the province.
According to the Management Board of Hung Yen Economic Zone and Industrial Parks, Hung Phu Industrial Park is planned to be associated with Hung Phu inland waterway port area of over 70ha. The industrial park is located adjacent to the coastal road, provincial road DT. 469 (Thai Binh - Con Vanh), the bridge over the Red River to Ninh Binh province, Ba Lat port of 110ha and the inter-regional railway line according to provincial planning.
The IP has attracted Gel - O&J Automobile Joint Stock Company to invest in an automobile manufacturing plant on an area of 38ha, with a total investment of 319 million USD and has been put into operation.
Mr. Nguyen Huy Hoang - General Director of Geleximco Hung Phu Industrial Park Joint Stock Company - said that phase 1 industrial park infrastructure has been basically completed. Phase 2 is expanding social infrastructure construction such as housing for experts, and is also expected to build a system of kiosks to complete utilities in the industrial park. When fully operational, the industrial park is expected to create jobs for about 20,000 workers.
To achieve the current progress of Hung Phu IP, site clearance (GPMB) plays an important role. Mr. Bui Tuan Anh - Chairman of Hung Phu Commune People's Committee - said that this is one of the IPs with the fastest GPMB speed. The GPMB of the IP, the recovered land area is up to more than 209ha, involving 1,342 households; in which, in phase 1, the locality completed GPMB work with an area of 100ha in just 35 days; phase 2 recovered more than 109ha in 55 days and handed over land to investors.
Removing electricity and road bottlenecks to attract investment
Not only focusing on production infrastructure, the investor of Hung Phu Industrial Park orients development according to the green industrial park model. Green trees are used as dividing fences, creating landscape space throughout the area.
The wastewater treatment system is also synchronously invested, with a designed capacity of phase 1 of about 2,000m3/day and night, meeting the wastewater treatment requirements during the operation of enterprises.
Regarding investment attraction orientation, the IP does not focus on the garment sector but prioritizes technology industries, chip production, components, robot parts...
However, according to the investor, the process of attracting businesses to the IP is still facing some difficulties, notably the unsynchronized electricity infrastructure. The investor wishes to soon invest in the Hung Phu 110kV substation to ensure electricity supply for the production activities of enterprises.
Along with that, connecting transport infrastructure also needs to be further completed. Road No. 3 of the Project to invest in building main roads connecting with functional areas in Thai Binh Economic Zone is still under construction. Meanwhile, the area of the IP phase 2 is separated from the existing area, posing the requirement to soon have connecting transport routes to facilitate project implementation.
Chairman of Hung Phu Commune People's Committee added that when Hung Phu IP is invested in synchronous infrastructure, attracting more businesses in the field of automobile manufacturing and supporting industries, along with the completion of main roads, the locality will have more development poles.
In the coming time, Hung Phu IP is expected to become a new destination, opening up strong industrial and service development opportunities for Hung Phu commune in particular and the coastal area of the province in general.
