Recently, at the end of November 2024, at a press conference organized by the Propaganda Department of Binh Thuan province, authorized by the Chairman of the People's Committee of Tanh Linh district, Mr. Tran Thanh Toan - specialist of the Economic - Infrastructure Department of Tanh Linh district - provided information about the case of an illegally built villa in the area to the press.

When reporters asked whether this villa was being applied for a change of function into a ceramic tile exhibition area, Mr. Toan said: “Mr. C.T.S. has submitted an application for a change of function to the Department of Planning and Investment. This department is consulting with specialized departments and the People's Committee of Tanh Linh district to determine whether it is appropriate to change the function.”
On December 4, the Department of Planning and Investment of Binh Thuan province announced that it had signed a notice of the results of the appraisal of the investment registration dossier for the project of the Service Area displaying traditional brick and ceramic products of Gia An brick and tile craft village, Tanh Linh district.
This Department received a request for implementation of the project of the Service Area for displaying traditional brick and ceramic products of Gia An brick and tile craft village, Tanh Linh district, by Cao An One Member Co., Ltd. (investor) scheduled to be submitted on October 8, 2024.
According to the proposal for investment project implementation, it includes a ceramic tile product display area; housing and boarding houses for workers; coffee and beverage business yard; parking lot and other ancillary works.
According to the Department of Planning and Investment of Binh Thuan province, based on the land use planning for the period 2021-2030, with a vision to 2050 of Tanh Linh district approved by the People's Committee of Binh Thuan province, the location of the land plot that Cao An Company Limited proposed to implement the project is planned for the purpose of using land for non-agricultural production and business. Therefore, the location of the project applying for investment registration is not in accordance with the land use planning approved by the competent authority.
Therefore, the project implementation proposal of Cao An One Member Co., Ltd. is not qualified to conduct an appraisal report and submit it to the People's Committee of Binh Thuan province for consideration and settlement according to its authority.
