The HQC Tan Huong social housing project is located in Tan Huong commune (Chau Thanh district, Tien Giang province), invested by Hoang Quan Real Estate Consulting - Trading - Service Joint Stock Company (hereinafter referred to as Hoang Quan Company). The project has a scale of 6.049 hectares, a total floor area of 205,395m2, including 3 areas: CN1, CN2 and CN3 with a total of 3,057 apartments.
Mr. Huu - a worker working at a company in Tan Huong Industrial Park (Chau Thanh district, Tien Giang province) - shared: "I intend to buy social housing because the price is suitable for my income. But when I came to see the reality show, I saw that the project was still unfinished, not knowing when it would be completed. If we spend money to buy but the house is not finished, where do we know? ".
Posing as a worker buying social housing, the reporter went to the HQC Tan Huong social housing project and was taken by staff here to visit the apartments and inform about the selling price.
Here, a woman claiming to be an employee of Hoang Quan Company said that the company is currently selling for 15,700,000 VND/m2. This price includes VAT.

According to the investigation of Lao Dong Newspaper reporters, the HQC Tan Huong social housing project started construction in 2016. However, it has been more than 8 years since the project has completed the construction of the technical infrastructure system and social infrastructure. Of the 3 areas of the project, only CN3 is currently being implemented. As for CN1 and CN2, on March 8, 2023, the People's Committee of Tien Giang province issued a document agreeing to revoke.
In January 2025, the Department of Construction of Tien Giang province proposed that the People's Committee of Tien Giang province consider approving the policy of adjusting the progress and completion time of blocks C, D and the technical infrastructure of the HQC Tan Huong social housing project until March 2025. For blocks A and B, it will be completed by the second quarter of 2025 at the latest. In case Hoang Quan Company does not complete the above progress, the People's Committee of Tien Giang province will not continue to extend the implementation progress and handle it according to regulations.

Mr. Ha Thien Y - Director of the Department of Construction of Tien Giang province - said that the HQC Tan Huong social housing project has not yet been completed due to difficulties for investors. The main reason is that investors cannot access loans related to social housing, leading to a delay in this project's progress.
In the coming time, the Department will continue to remove difficulties for businesses to soon complete the above project so that workers have the need to access social housing.
According to Official Dispatch No. 2145 dated June 26, 2024 of the Department of Construction of Tien Giang province, the selling price of social housing (excluding VAT and maintenance costs) at the HQC Tan Huong social housing project approved by the People's Committee of Tien Giang province is 17,222,727 VND/m2, while the rental price of social housing (excluding VAT and maintenance costs) is 71,963 VND/m2/month.
As of January 2025, 171 apartments in blocks C and D at the HQC Tan Huong social housing project have met the conditions for selling future housing.
