On June 19, Bcons Construction Investment Joint Stock Company (HCMC) held a groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of social housing for low-income workers in Tan Uyen ward.
Attending the ceremony were Mr. Nguyen Phuoc Loc - Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City; Mr. Hoang Nguyen Dinh - Vice Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee, leaders of Tan Uyen ward and representatives of departments and branches in Ho Chi Minh City.
The social housing project is located on To Huu street, Tan Uyen ward, Ho Chi Minh City. The social housing area is built on a land area of 6,667 m2 with a construction structure including 2 blocks of 15 above-ground floors and 1 basement floor. This project is expected to provide 802 social housing apartments for the market. The smallest apartment is 31.5m2 wide, the large one is 51.6m2 wide.

In this area, the investor builds many amenities such as commercial centers, parks, and sports areas.
In addition, also on this occasion, the investor started construction of a school system to serve the needs of children of workers here.
Representatives of the investor said that the project wishes to contribute to supplementing the supply of quality social housing at reasonable prices for workers in the northern area of Ho Chi Minh City. At the same time, realize the dream of housing for low and middle-income workers.
According to records, Tan Uyen ward is one of the localities with many industrial production plants concentrated in Ho Chi Minh City. This is also a ward that attracts a large number of migrant workers. The housing demand for low-income workers is very large, however, affordable housing projects and social housing are still scarce.
