On May 28, Vice Chairman of Hanoi People's Committee Bui Duy Cuong chaired a meeting with departments, branches, and localities to listen to reports on site clearance work to serve social housing construction investment projects in the city.
According to a summary report of the Hanoi City People's Committee Office, there are currently 57 social housing construction investment projects in the whole city.
In which, social housing serving the armed forces includes 9 projects (7 projects are undergoing site clearance and 2 projects are completing procedures related to planning, investment preparation and legal documents).
For other social housing groups including 48 projects, currently there are 6 projects that have completed site clearance; 30 projects are under implementation; 8 projects have not yet been cleared due to completing investment preparation procedures, planning and related legal documents; and 4 projects have not updated specific information.
At the meeting, representatives of many communes, wards and departments and branches focused on reporting on the implementation of projects in the area; and at the same time reflected the difficulties and obstacles arising in the land clearance process, especially for projects with large land acquisition volumes or still facing obstacles in mechanisms and policies.

Speaking in conclusion, Vice Chairman of Hanoi People's Committee Bui Duy Cuong said that the city assigns specific responsibilities to the heads of localities and investors according to the progress of each project. Periodically every 2 to 3 weeks, at the latest 1 month, units must count and review the progress of site clearance to promptly remove difficulties and obstacles arising.
Regarding mechanisms and policies for site clearance, Vice Chairman of Hanoi People's Committee Bui Duy Cuong requested localities to closely follow the provisions of the Land Law and specific mechanisms of the city to focus on propaganda and implementation. For projects subject to Resolution No. 258, localities must urgently approve the plan immediately.
Localities proactively develop plans and roadmaps for each project for synchronous implementation; in which priority is given to social housing projects similar to key projects.
The city maintains 3 mobile working groups to support site clearance. For the working group serving site clearance for the Ring Road 2.5 project, after completing the task (before May 30), it will continue to support other projects in the area, preparing to implement the Ring Road 3.5 project and social housing projects.
The city assigned the Department of Construction to urge and strictly inspect; requesting investors to focus resources on construction immediately after receiving clean site handover. Investors who do not cooperate with local authorities or intentionally delay or delay progress will be considered for applying strict sanctions.
