Meeting practical social security needs
On June 12, the City Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Dong Nai city organized the groundbreaking ceremony of the Long Binh social housing for rent project (phase 1) in Long Binh ward, Dong Nai city.
This is the first social housing project for rent in Dong Nai city and the first project in the country to be implemented after the direction of General Secretary and President To Lam in Notice No. 64-TB/VPTW dated May 22, 2026 of the Central Party Office on developing a rental apartment model to meet the housing needs of workers, laborers and low-income people.
The project is built on a land area of about 1.52 ha belonging to the 12.17 ha land area in Long Binh ward. According to the planning orientation, the entire area will develop about 10,000 social housing apartments for rent along with a synchronous social infrastructure system including schools at all levels, kindergartens, green parks and public service works serving residents.
The project area is located in an area with many key industrial parks such as Amata, Bien Hoa II, Ho Nai, Loteco and Agtex Long Binh - this is an area with a very large demand for stable, safe and affordable rental housing suitable for people's affordability.
Phase 1 of the project includes 2 20-story apartment blocks with about 1,000 apartments for rent with areas from 30 m2 to 70 m2, meeting current technical standards and regulations on social housing.
The total estimated investment is about 1,360 billion VND from the city budget.
When completed, the project will provide about 1,000 apartments for rent, contributing to meeting the housing needs of people, workers, laborers and subjects entitled to social housing policies according to regulations. This is not only a project of special significance for social security but also contributes to stabilizing human resources, improving the quality of life of people and enhancing the attractiveness of the locality in attracting investment.
Commitment to progress and quality
The Dong Nai City Construction Investment Project Management Board is assigned to be the project investor; Sonadezi Corporation is the construction unit.
Dong Nai City Construction Investment Project Management Board - Project Investor affirmed that it will closely coordinate with relevant agencies to implement the project in accordance with regulations, ensure construction quality, labor safety, environmental protection, use investment capital effectively and complete it on schedule.
Representatives of Sonadezi Corporation committed to mobilizing sufficient resources, human resources, equipment and applying appropriate technical solutions to organize construction to ensure quality, progress, labor safety and environmental protection; implement the project in accordance with the approved plan and design and current legal regulations.
Immediately after the groundbreaking ceremony of the Long Binh social housing project for rent, Dong Nai city will continue to direct the review of planning, prepare land funds and implement social housing projects for rent in areas concentrated with many industrial parks such as Nhon Trach, Long Thanh and other economic development driving areas, with an expected scale of about 10,000 apartments in each locality.
The groundbreaking ceremony of the Long Binh social housing project for rent marks an important starting point in the social housing development strategy for rent of Dong Nai city; at the same time, affirming the local determination to pioneer in concretizing the Party's policy, bringing social security policies into life with specific, practical and sustainable projects.
