By mid-September 2026, the Department of Finance said that Lam Dong province has completed the handling plan for 505 redundant houses and land after the process of arranging the apparatus and administrative units.
Among the 505 facilities that have had handling plans, 139 facilities are assigned to agencies and units to continue to manage and use. These facilities are arranged as working headquarters or serving the fields of health and education.
50 facilities have been assigned to the Provincial Housing Management Center for management and exploitation and have completed handover and reception to be arranged for temporary use by central agencies.
The remaining 316 facilities have been decided to be recovered, transferred or transferred to units with management, exploitation and handling functions.
According to actual records, some headquarters that used to be workplaces of departments and branches of the old Binh Thuan province are still closed. On Nguyen Tat Thanh street, Phan Thiet ward, a beautiful location facing Doi Duong sea, many headquarters concentrated along this route are closed, showing signs of degradation.
Over the past time, localities have continued to review and discover 672 newly arising redundant houses and land managed by commune-level People's Committees. This number is an increase of 311 establishments compared to the previous report.
Among these, 167 facilities have been approved for handling plans by competent authorities. Many facilities are being calculated to continue to be exploited to serve the community, such as arranging for the General Service Center to manage, building village halls, parks, cultural facilities or expanding markets.
For surplus assets after arranging villages, residential groups and schools such as village halls, cultural houses, stadiums, schools..., the province needs specific guidance on function conversion.
The Department of Finance has requested the Ministry of Finance to guide on the authority and procedures for converting the function of using these public assets. The goal is to manage strictly, use them in accordance with regulations and take advantage of the remaining appropriate facilities to serve the needs of the community.
In addition to local facilities, Lam Dong also received 145 redundant houses and land transferred by ministries, branches, and central agencies. Provincial agencies and units are completing procedures to receive and develop handling plans.
According to Standing Deputy Secretary of the Lam Dong Provincial Party Committee Dang Hong Sy, surplus public assets after arrangement must be strictly managed and used effectively, avoiding degradation and waste.
For facilities that still need to be used, localities need to arrange and exploit them appropriately. For places where there is no longer demand, dossiers must be completed for auction, lease or processing according to regulations.
Lam Dong province sets a target to complete the handling plan for all redundant houses and land after arranging the apparatus and administrative units by December 31, 2026.
