Workers look forward to the day of settlement
In the early days of May, returning to the construction sites after the holidays, reporters recorded that the construction atmosphere quickly "heated up" again.
The sound of machines and the footsteps of workers echoed continuously, creating an urgent labor rhythm in large-scale social housing projects in the area.

At the social housing area adjacent to extended B6 road (Cam Duong ward, Lao Cai province), hundreds of workers spread out across the floors to complete the final items.
Outside, the paint layer is almost complete; inside, construction teams are divided into shifts to install equipment, check technical systems, and clean apartments.
The project has a total investment of more than 2,085 billion VND, a scale of more than 42,300 m2 with 4 blocks of buildings up to 25 floors, expected to provide about 2,192 apartments. Currently, the two buildings N01A and N01B have reached about 98% of the volume, entering the "last sprint" phase to be handed over in June.

Not only in Cam Duong, but also in the social housing area on the left bank of the Red River (Lao Cai ward), the construction atmosphere is also bustling. Many buildings have removed scaffolding, revealing a complete appearance. Inside, workers are focusing on completing the electrical system, fire prevention and fighting, and elevators.
This project has a total investment of more than 630 billion VND, built on an area of more than 1.66 hectares, including 4 12-story buildings with about 760 apartments. To date, the two rear buildings have reached about 90% progress, and the first 350 apartments are expected to be handed over by the end of June.
Mr. Nguyen Van Toan - a worker working at Tang Loong Industrial Park - shared that he has been monitoring the project progress in Cam Duong from the start of construction until now.
Living in a rented house forever is also tiring, the cost is high but unstable. If we can buy social housing, my wife and I will dare to think about long-term things," Mr. Toan said.
As for the left bank of the Red River, Mr. Bui Duc Hai - a resident living near the project - said that the area is "changing skin and flesh" every day.
Houses are springing up quickly, infrastructure is gradually being completed. People hope the project will be completed soon so that the area is more crowded and life is also more convenient," Mr. Hai shared.
More supply, perfecting urban appearance
Real-world records show that after the holidays, contractors simultaneously increased manpower to compensate for progress. At the two projects, the total number of workers working is up to hundreds of people, working shifts continuously.
Mr. Vu Van Chuan - representative of the Project Management Board in Cam Duong - said that the investor is requesting units to focus maximum resources to complete the final items. "The goal is to ensure quality, technical safety and scheduled handover," Mr. Chuan said.

Similarly, in the left bank of the Red River, Mr. Tran Hong Nhat - Deputy Head of the Project Management Board - informed that despite facing difficulties in manpower due to many projects being implemented at the same time, contractors still maintain continuous construction.
We are focusing our efforts to put the project into synchronous operation soon this year," Mr. Nhat said.
Meanwhile, for many workers, each day that passes is another step closer to the dream of settling down.
According to investors, both projects are focused not only on construction quality but also on living space.

In addition to apartments, many amenities such as community living areas, parking lots, green trees, and synchronous technical infrastructure are also being completed.
The simultaneous completion of social housing projects in the near future is expected to significantly supplement the supply to the market, especially in the context of the increasing housing demand of low-income people.
Not stopping at the housing problem, these projects also contribute to urban embellishment, creating development momentum for areas such as Cam Duong or the left bank of the Red River.
In just a few months, when the first apartments light up, the dream of settling down of thousands of workers in Lao Cai will gradually become a reality.
