This information was announced by Thanh Oai District People's Committee in an official dispatch recently sent to the District Land Fund Development Center and two auction organizing companies.
According to the plan, in September 2024, Thanh Oai district will organize an auction of 114 land plots in Dam area, Muc Xa village, Cao Duong commune in 2 sessions (57 land plots each session).
Of which, 57 lots in the first phase were auctioned on September 8. These lots have areas ranging from over 74m2 to nearly 135m2, all with starting prices of 8.8 million VND/m2.
However, Thanh Oai District People's Committee has requested the two auction companies to temporarily suspend the two auctions and notify customers to receive a refund of the money they paid for the documents (if any).
The agency said it will announce the re-organization of the auction after reviewing the legality and conditions, ensuring compliance with legal regulations.
Previously, on August 10, Thanh Oai district organized an auction of 68 plots of land in Thanh Cao commune. The highest lot won the auction with a price of over 100 million VND/m2. Several other plots in good locations also won the auction with a price of around 90 million VND/m2.
Recently, many land auctions in suburban districts of Hanoi have had to be temporarily suspended.
Previously, National Joint Stock Auction Company No. 5 has just issued a notice on the temporary suspension of auctions of land use rights for 27 plots of land in Phu Luong, Yen Nghia and Duong Noi wards (Ha Dong district).
Hoai Duc district also announced the suspension of the auction on August 26 for 20 plots of land LK01, LK02 and the auction on September 9 for 32 plots of land LK05, LK06.
According to the announcement, customers who have registered to participate in the auction and have purchased documents and paid in advance will have their documents reserved or their money refunded according to regulations. The time to continue organizing the auction will be announced later by the People's Committee of Hoai Duc district.
Regarding the unusually high land auction results in some suburban districts, on August 22, the Hanoi People's Committee issued a document requesting localities to inspect, detect and handle violations (if any).
According to the Hanoi People's Committee, recently in the city, there has been a phenomenon of land use rights auctions with winning prices many times higher than the starting price. For example, land auctions in Thanh Oai district were 7-8 times higher, and in Hoai Duc district, the highest price was 18 times higher than the starting price.
The Hanoi People's Committee believes that the above unusually high bids could affect socio-economic development, investment and business environment, housing and real estate markets.
Therefore, the City People's Committee requested the Hanoi Department of Natural Resources and Environment to coordinate with relevant departments and branches to inspect all land auctions in Thanh Oai and Hoai Duc districts in the past time. From there, promptly detect and resolutely handle violations of the law (if any).
