Previously, in 2023, leaders of Hai Phong City People's Committee inspected the site at Do Son and directed departments, branches, and localities to review land plots and long-standing works; study plans to renovate Do Son tourist area, prepare land funds to serve the auction of land use rights and attract high-quality tourism and service investment projects.
Implementing the city's direction, in 2024, Do Son district (now Do Son ward) organized the handling of violations in the Ministry of Construction area; issued decisions to force the implementation of remedial measures for cases of land and construction violations; requested the dismantling of violating works and restoration of the land status as prescribed by law.
Up to now, after the process of handling violations, the locality continues to deploy demolition, site clearance, environmental landscape embellishment, and create land funds to serve the city's development orientations in the coming time.
The embellishment of the Ministry of Construction area not only contributes to improving urban aesthetics and tourism environment, but also opens up opportunities to form new development spaces, creating favorable conditions to attract investment projects in accordance with planning, gradually improving service quality and attractiveness of Do Son Tourist Area. This is one of the specific tasks to realize the goal of building Do Son into a civilized and modern coastal tourist city, an attractive destination of Hai Phong and the Northern region.
