Hanoi - The city will complete the demolition of the Shark Ham building next to Hoan Kiem Lake before April 30.

It is expected that the demolition of this building will be completed before April 30.

The Hanoi Department of Planning and Architecture said that the Shark Ham building, after being demolished, will help connect the old town, Hoan Kiem Lake and some adjacent streets such as Dinh Liet, Cau Go, creating a complete traffic space, this will be a traffic square, serving the people.

"After being decorated, combined with the surrounding space, Hanoi will have a square of 12,000m2, this is a rare space to serve the people and major festivals of the city as well as the country" - a representative of the Hanoi Department of Planning and Architecture shared.

Previously, Vice Chairman of Hanoi People's Committee Duong Duc Tuan approved the idea and solution for organizing the landscape architectural space of Dong Kinh - Nghia Thuc Square area as a basis for research on the investment project to renovate, renovate and reconstruct Dong Kinh - Nghia Thuc Square area, helping to connect two important areas: Hoan Kiem Lake National Special Relic Site (North) with Co Quarter National Relic Site (South).

The Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee approved the proposal to demolish the "Shark Dock" building, propose underground space in the existing square area and expansion space (after demolishing the "Shark Dock" building).

Regarding underground space, research about 3 basements (cultural and commercial space should be arranged in basement 1, parking area in basements 2, 3).
