Recovering 112 hectares of land from 133 households in Tho Son commune to build a highway

Dong Nai - Tho Son Commune People's Committee has coordinated with the Land Fund Development Center, Bu Dang Branch to implement compensation and land recovery to build the Gia Nghia - Chon Thanh expressway.

According to Tho Son Commune People's Committee, implementing the Gia Nghia - Chon Thanh expressway project, there are 133 households in the commune whose land is affected with an area to be recovered of 112 hectares.

Up to now, the commune has approved compensation and support plans for 115 households. Of which, 101 households have agreed and received compensation and support money, 2 households have agreed with the crop support plan but have not made payments because there is no support mechanism according to regulations; the remaining 12 households have not agreed to receive money and hand over land.

The remaining households, due to obstacles in origin, current land use status and handling mechanisms for some cases according to regulations.

Tho Son Commune People's Committee has coordinated with the Land Fund Development Center, Bu Dang Branch to organize the payment of compensation and support with a total amount of over 170 billion VND.

Currently, in Tho Son commune, 109 hectares with a length of 11.5 km/13.23 km have been handed over to Gia Nghia - Chon Thanh Expressway Co., Ltd. for construction.

Currently, Tho Son Commune People's Committee is continuing to mobilize people to agree to hand over land. At the same time, it is proposed that Dong Nai City People's Committee consider directing the settlement of some contents beyond its authority in site clearance for the expressway project in the area.

It is known that the Gia Nghia - Chon Thanh expressway project has a total length of 124 km, including the section through Dong Nai city, 101 km long, and Lam Dong province, 23 km long. The section belonging to Dong Nai city, passing through 10 communes and wards, needs to recover 921 hectares. Currently, the site handed over to the project has reached about 80%.
