Deploying the land recovery plan for the metro extension project from Ho Chi Minh City to Dong Nai

Dong Nai - Bien Hoa Ward People's Committee deploys policies and plans to recover land for the metro project from Ho Chi Minh City to the City Administrative Center and Long Thanh airport.

On July 28, Bien Hoa Ward People's Committee, Dong Nai City coordinated with the Bien Hoa Branch Land Fund Development Center to organize a conference to deploy policies and plans to recover land to carry out compensation, support and resettlement for the project to extend the Ben Thanh - Suoi Tien Metro line to the Dong Nai City Administrative Center and Long Thanh International Airport (abbreviated as Long Thanh airport) for households and organizations with land subject to recovery in the ward.

Previously, in June 2026, Dong Nai City People's Committee also issued a plan to implement compensation, support, and resettlement for the project to extend the Ben Thanh - Suoi Tien Metro line to the Dong Nai City Administrative Center and Long Thanh airport.

According to the plan, the City Land Fund Development Center will take the lead in coordinating with the surveying unit, relevant units, and people whose land is recovered to carry out surveying, planting markers, determining land recovery boundaries, making land recovery maps and completing them in July 2026.

The City People's Committee also noted that the measurement is organized into many teams and groups to speed up progress. After completing the measurement and land recovery map, the City Land Fund Development Center Branch develops a land recovery plan, to be completed before August 5, 2026.

Before the land recovery notice is issued, the commune-level People's Committee where the land is recovered shall preside over and coordinate with the commune-level Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee and relevant agencies to organize meetings with land owners in the recovered area to disseminate and receive opinions.

The Chairman of the People's Committee of the commune where the land is recovered issues a land recovery notice. The content of the land recovery notice includes: reasons for land recovery; area, location of the recovered land area; land recovery progress; survey, survey, measurement, inventory plan; plan to relocate people out of the land recovery area; compensation, support, resettlement plan and complete before August 20, 2026.

The project to extend the Ben Thanh - Suoi Tien Metro line to the Dong Nai City Administrative Center and Long Thanh airport has a total estimated investment of about 65,573.8 billion VND and applies BT contracts paid by land fund and state budget (public investment source).

According to Dong Nai City People's Committee, the project has a total length of about 43.5 km, with a maximum design speed of 120 km/h, including sections: section from Suoi Tien station to Dong Nai City Administrative Center (SC station), about 7.1 km long; section from Dong Nai City Administrative Center (SC station) to Long Thanh airport, about 36.4 km long. It is expected to arrange 6 main terminals and 5 planned terminals for the future at traffic hubs and TOD development areas.

Arrange 1 Depot on the route to serve management, operation, maintenance, and repair of carriages and main parts.

Construction location in Long Binh ward, Dong Hoa ward of Ho Chi Minh City; Wards Bien Hoa, Tran Bien, Long Hung, Phuoc Tan, Tam Phuoc, Nhon Trach, Long Thanh and An Phuoc commune of Dong Nai City.
