The Ho Chi Minh City Square and Administrative Center project with a total investment of about 29,600 billion VND has officially entered the field construction phase. A series of heavy machinery equipment has been mobilized to accelerate the progress of technical infrastructure and foundation.


Many large-sized construction equipment including pile boring machines, cranes and motorized vehicles have been gathered in Thu Thiem new urban area. The contractor is simultaneously deploying foundation work, preparing ground and technical infrastructure. This is an item belonging to the component project of Central Square, marking a real movement on the construction site after more than a month of commencement.
The project is of key significance in building a modern urban government of Ho Chi Minh City. The goal of the project is to form a centralized administrative complex to improve the effectiveness of state management, reduce the dispersion of headquarters and create maximum convenience for people and businesses. The entire project is implemented in the form of public-private partnership with a construction-transfer contract type, with a total investment of about 29,600 billion VND.
The project is divided into 4 independent components. Component project 1 includes technical infrastructure, auxiliary works and parking basement in the landscape park area with an investment capital of nearly 3,509 billion VND.



Component project 2 is the Ho Chi Minh City Administrative Center worth about 18,493 billion VND. This project has a total floor area of about 272,000 square meters, meeting the workplace for 8,000 civil servants and serving from 1,500 to 2,000 people coming to transact every day.
Component project 3 is a 2,000-seat demonstration conference center and central lake landscape park with a budget of about 6,856 billion VND. Meanwhile, component project 4 is Central Square with a total investment of more than 733 billion VND.
Regarding the overall progress, the project is expected to complete component project 1 in May 2027 and complete Central Square on November 30, 2027. The Performance Conference Center item will be completed in February 2028. Finally, the Ho Chi Minh City Administrative Center is expected to be put into operation in September 2028.
