According to the announcement of the Hanoi Department of Construction, from June 17, traffic organization on La Thanh street (section from Nguyen Chi Thanh intersection to Thanh Cong street) will be adjusted to serve the construction of the Hoang Cau - Voi Phuc section project.
The notice signed by Mr. Tran Huu Bao - Deputy Director of Hanoi Department of Construction announces the plan to adjust traffic organization in Giang Vo ward area to serve the construction of the Ring Road 1 section Hoang Cau - Voi Phuc investment project.
Accordingly, from June 17, 2026 until a new notice is issued, vehicles will be banned from circulating on the current La Thanh road, the section from Nguyen Chi Thanh intersection to Thanh Cong road and in the opposite direction.
Vehicles that need to travel between La Thanh road and Nguyen Chi Thanh road will travel along the new Ring Road 1, which has completed the C19 asphalt concrete layer, according to the sign system.
For motorbikes on Nguyen Hong street, functional agencies prohibit turning left onto Nguyen Chi Thanh street. Vehicle drivers are guided to move according to the traffic sign system and turnaround points on the new Ring Road 1.
To ensure traffic safety, the Department of Construction requests to add speed limit signs of a maximum of 40km/h on the new Ring Road 1 section from Nguyen Chi Thanh to Thanh Cong, and at the same time prohibit stopping and parking on the entire section of this route.
Notably, the traffic organization plan on the new Ring Road 1 still maintains the regulation prohibiting cars from traveling in the direction from Nguyen Chi Thanh to Thanh Cong as the current situation on La Thanh street.
The Hanoi Department of Construction assigned the Hanoi City Civil Works Construction Investment Project Management Board to coordinate with relevant units to organize traffic diversion, fully install traffic signs, ensure traffic safety and limit congestion during construction.
Representatives of the Hanoi Department of Construction said that the Ring Road 1 project, Hoang Cau - Voi Phuc section, is one of the key traffic projects of Hanoi capital, expected to contribute to reducing traffic congestion in the central area after completion.
