On May 22, the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Agriculture and Environment said that in 2026, the whole city has 185 projects implementing compensation and site clearance work.

Of which, 165 projects have been allocated compensation capital with a total amount of more than 33,685 billion VND. The remaining 20 key projects are expected to be allocated compensation capital in 2026.

According to statistics, out of 165 projects that have been allocated compensation capital, 40 projects have been and are handing over land; 79 projects are preparing compensation, support, resettlement plans and issuing land acquisition decisions; 23 projects have issued land acquisition notices, are organizing measurement and inventory; 23 projects are preparing measurement and inventory plans.

To date, the total disbursed capital has reached 13,414 billion VND, equivalent to 31.82% of the plan.

For 20 new key projects, the total estimated investment is about 509,544 billion VND, of which compensation and site clearance capital is about 116,667 billion VND.

Ho Chi Minh City sets a target in 2026 to disburse about 120,000 billion VND for compensation and site clearance work.

Of which, public investment capital is expected to be about 44,000 billion VND. The city has allocated more than 33,685 billion VND and is expected to add about 10,000 billion VND in the last 6 months of 2026.

According to the plan, by June 2026, public investment projects must reach at least 50% of the disbursement rate of compensation capital. By September 2026, strive to reach 90% or more for projects that have been allocated capital in the year.

Ho Chi Minh City sets a target to basically complete site clearance by the end of 2026 for a series of key infrastructure projects such as: Ho Chi Minh City Ring Road 2; Ho Chi Minh City Ring Road 4; expansion of Ho Chi Minh City - Long Thanh expressway; Ho Chi Minh City - Moc Bai expressway; expansion of National Highway 13; expansion of National Highway 22; expansion of National Highway 1; renovation of Rach Xuyen Tam; renovation of Van Thanh canal; Saigon riverside road; expansion of Tran Binh Trong road; High-Tech Park project...

For the PPP project group, projects under the Investment Law and other projects, it is expected to disburse about 77,000 billion VND of compensation capital.

Ho Chi Minh City also strives to complete site clearance by the end of 2026 for many large projects such as: Ben Thanh - Can Gio Metro; Binh Quoi - Thanh Da Urban Area; Ho Chi Minh City National University Area; Rach Chiec National Sports Complex; renovation of Nha Rong - Khanh Hoi port area phase 1; renovation of Ma Lang and Cho Ga - Gao areas...
