A new chapter in Alexander Isak's story at Newcastle. The Swedish striker broke the monopoly on social media to share about his situation with the Magpies, while affirming his desire to leave St. Petersburg. James' Park in this transfer window.
In a statement posted on his social media account, Isak explained why he was absent from the Premier League (PFA) awards ceremony and expressed his disappointment with what was happening at the club.
"I was not present at tonight's ceremony. With everything going on, I felt uncomfortable there. I was silent for too long while others spoke up.
That silence has created conditions for some people to express their own opinions, even if they know that, it does not accurately reflect what has been discussed and agreed upon behind closed doors" - Isak opened.

"In fact, the promises have been made, and the club has known my position for a long time. Acting as if these problems are just appearing is a deception" - he emphasized.
Isak continued to pressure Newcastle to let him go, asserting that it was the best solution for both sides.
"When promises are broken and trust is gone, the relationship cannot continue. That is why parting ways is the best choice for everyone, not just me" - the Swedish striker concluded.
Immediately after Isak's statement, Newcastle also issued an official announcement: "We are disappointed to hear about Alexander Isak's social media post tonight. To clarify, Alexander Isak still has a contract and no club official has committed to letting him go this summer."
The Northeast side continued to stress: "We want to keep the best players, but we also understand that everyone has their own wishes, and we listen to their opinions.
As I explained to Alexander Isak and his agent, every decision must put the interests of Newcastle United, the club and the fans first. The conditions for selling players are not met, and we do not expect them to be met."
The announcement ended with a clear message: "This is a football club proud of its long tradition. We always strive to maintain family spirit. Alexander Isak is still a part of that family and will always be welcomed back when he is ready to reunite with his teammates".
Currently, the former Real Sociedad striker is still on a private training session while his future is uncertain. With Newcastle's tough stance, it is unclear whether the Magpies will accept Isak's departure for more than £120 million.

The 2025 summer transfer window will end on September 1. In less than two weeks, all scenarios can happen.
If Liverpool are determined to pay, this deal will likely come true. Otherwise, Newcastle will have to face an unhappy star, even being nicknamed greedy by the home crowd.
In both cases, the cracks in confidence already exist. For a classy player like Isak, those cracks are unlikely to be completely healed.
The story of Isak, Newcastle and Liverpool is a typical example of the fragility in the relationship between players and clubs. Promises, faith, opportunities and money all collide in a harsh reality. Newcastle may keep Isak for another season, but it will be difficult to keep his heart.
The core of the matter is not money, but belief. Isak believes in an "unwritten deal" that he will leave if he receives a worthy offer.
However, Newcastle denied it. When one side feels betrayed, this relationship is almost unable to be reconciled.
