On the afternoon of August 19, at the headquarters of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism (MOCST), Alternate Member of the Party Central Committee (MP), Permanent Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Le Hai Binh chaired a meeting to review the organization of the 80th Anniversary of the Cultural Sector Traditional Day (August 28, 1945 - August 28, 2025) and towards the 80th Anniversary of National Day on September 2 (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2025).
Accordingly, the 80th Anniversary of the Traditional Day of the Cultural Sector will take place on the morning of August 23, at the Hanoi Opera House. The event not only honors the great contributions of previous generations but also continues and promotes the glorious tradition of the industry.
At the meeting, Chief of Office of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism Cao Le Tuan Anh reported an overview of the progress of the tasks to serve the 80th Anniversary of the Traditional Day of the Cultural Sector. Leaders of relevant units presented reports on preparations for emulation and reward work, makets, documentaries, art programs, photo exhibitions, etc.
Speaking at the meeting, Permanent Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Le Hai Binh acknowledged and commended the sense of responsibility and efforts of the units that have urgently and proactively implemented many important tasks to serve the Ceremony; including the arising work.
Regarding information and propaganda work, the Deputy Minister assessed that many quality articles on the 80th anniversary of the Traditional Day of the Cultural Sector have been published in the Culture Newspaper and press agencies. Thereby, creating a propaganda effect, affirming the mark of the industry over the past 80 years.
Emphasizing that there is not much time left until the Ceremony, the Deputy Minister suggested that units closely coordinate, promote the spirit of solidarity, responsibility, and creativity in the process of performing tasks; focus on both the content and organization to create a deep impression, affirming the role, position, and contribution of the Cultural sector to the development of the country.
The Deputy Minister requested that units in the ministry actively contribute ideas to build and complete documentaries distributed at the Commemoration Ceremony. The Deputy Minister emphasized that documentaries must be both historical and have extensive educational and propaganda value, fully and realistically reflecting the development journey, great achievements and contributions of the Cultural sector over the past 80 years.
For the art program at the Ceremony, the Deputy Minister requested that the program should be elaborately staged, ensuring solemnity, historical significance, and at the same time have artistic depth, creating a good impression.
The performances must demonstrate their typical nature, both honoring tradition and arousing pride and aspiration for the development of the Vietnamese cultural sector in the new period.
The Deputy Minister also requested that propaganda work continue to be promoted.
The reception of guests must be thoughtful and professional, contributing to creating a good impression and affirming the special meaning of the event.
