On the evening of August 20, information from the People's Committee of Cat Thinh commune said that a traffic accident had just occurred in the area between two passenger cars.
Accordingly, at about 5:23 p.m. the same day, at Km173+900 National Highway 32 (in Van Hung village, Cat Thinh commune), the passenger bus with license plate: 29B-510.xx driven by driver V.D.C. (born in 1972, in Hanoi) was carrying 38 passengers when it collided with a passenger bus with license plate 18H-030.xx driven by driver L.V.L. (born in 1985, from Ninh Binh) was driving (with 6 passengers on the bus).
The consequences of the accident left 1 person dead and 1 person injured and taken to Van Chan Medical Center for emergency treatment.
At the scene, passenger car 18H-030.xx crashed into the positive slope, causing many pieces of debris to scatter all over the road.
Upon receiving the report, Cat Thinh Commune Police coordinated with the Traffic Police Department of Lao Cai Provincial Police to protect the scene and clarify the cause of the accident.
