The Agricultural and Environmental Technical Center (Hanoi Department of Agriculture and Environment) has coordinated with Hanoi Urban Environment Company Limited (URENCO) to implement large-scale environmental sanitation plans. In the past week, more than 1,000 public toilets have been installed, including 612 mobile toilets, 400 toilets mobilized from agencies and households, along with many field toilets in crowded areas. Toilets are optimally distributed at important intersections, gateways and areas for distributing necessities, to help people and tourists easily access, while minimizing overload.
According to Mr. Nguyen Thanh Son - Deputy General Director of URENCO, to serve important events of the country and the capital, the unit has carried out an unprecedented-scale cleaning campaign with the goal of protecting the beauty and public health. Hanoi City not only focuses on installing sanitary infrastructure but also strengthens hygiene maintenance before, during and after events. The main streets, areas where parades, parades and entertainmenttainmenttainmenttainmenttainmenttainmenttainmenttainmenttainmenttainmenttainmenttainmenttainmenttainmenttainmenttainmenttainmenttainmenttainment are always kept clean and not left with garbage.

In particular, URENCO has surveyed and arranged 800 trash bins along the event routes, with clear directional signs and synchronized container bags, helping to raise awareness of people and tourists in dumping garbage in the right place. These trash bins are collected periodically during peak hours, and preliminary classification of organic and inorganic waste is carried out on site.
According to Mr. Son, one of the highlights in the cleaning plan is the company's coordination with the Hanoi Youth Union to mobilize 8,800 young volunteers to participate in activities of collecting garbage, classifying garbage preliminarily and promoting awareness of environmental sanitation for people and tourists attending the ceremony.
Deputy Director of the Hanoi Department of Agriculture and Environment - Nguyen Minh Tan said that environmental sanitation work during the holiday is considered one of the city's key tasks. The Department requires functional units to closely coordinate, deploy flexible plans and promptly respond to the actual situation throughout the event.
This is an important occasion not only to honor the historical value of the nation but also to affirm the sustainable development of Hanoi in the eyes of international friends. Therefore, we always put safety and environmental sanitation first. As soon as the City People's Committee's plan was issued, we directed specialized units to closely coordinate with local authorities and businesses to maintain environmental sanitation regularly and continuously throughout the event, Mr. Tan emphasized.
With a synchronous and drastic implementation strategy, from installing more than 1,000 toilets, 800 trash bins, mobilizing 8,800 young volunteers and many measures to increase hygiene capacity, it can be seen that units are making every effort for the capital Hanoi to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day on September 2 in a clean, safe and civilized space.
