The 20-year-old's future is uncertain, with interest from Napoli and Chelsea, but no formal offers have been made for Garnacho.
Garnacho impressed in United's 2-1 UEFA Europa League win over Rangers. But when asked if that would be the Argentine's last game at Old Trafford, Amorim was cryptic.
“I am focused on the game and Garnacho is here. He is a Manchester United player. He was really important for us in today’s game and we will see what happens in the coming days,” he said.
Sources told ESPN that Man United did not force Garnacho to leave the club. However, Man United's financial situation is not very good, forcing the team to consider selling players if there is a reasonable offer.
Receiving a fee for Garnacho - an academy graduate - would be a much-needed boost for United as it would count as pure profit, which could help them comply with the Premier League's Profit and Sustainability Rules (PSR).
"I think Garnacho is improving in every aspect of his game. You can see until the 90th minute he is still working hard to help his team-mates. Sometimes he gets frustrated and he wants to handle the situation better.
“I think Garnacho has the potential to handle the game better. He understands what I am trying to do. It is clear that I want to help the players but they have to do their job,” Amorim said.
According to Transfermarkt, Garnacho is valued at 50 million Euros. This season, he has played 33 matches, scored 8 goals, and had 5 assists for Man United.
