This west London club has not had a long-term jersey sponsor since the agreement with mobile phone company Three ended in 2023.
The agreement between IFS and Chelsea will allow their logos to appear on the front of both men's and women's Chelsea jerseys immediately. This means that Liam Rosenior's team will wear new jerseys in the Premier League match against Burnley. Meanwhile, the women's team led by Sonia Bompastor will also do the same in the match against Man United in the FA Women's Cup on February 22.
Chelsea describes the deal as a "multi-year global partnership" but does not confirm whether IFS will continue to be the team's main kit sponsor after the current season ends. The club did not disclose the value of the deal.
IFS, according to a statement from Chelsea's homepage, is the world's leading industrial artificial intelligence software provider, a contextual intelligence provider, specializing for each industry, trusted by leading organizations in the world.
The agreement of this artificial intelligence company was signed 2 and a half years after the contract with Three expired. Sports data technology company Infinite Athlete has become Chelsea's main jersey sponsor under a short-term agreement from September 2023.
Last season, Chelsea did not have a main jersey sponsor until the last weeks of the season when UAE real estate developer DAMAC appeared on their jerseys for a short time.
We are extremely proud to partner with IFS and take advantage of their advanced artificial intelligence software to help the club achieve even greater successes. This partnership is a declaration of determination to continue to lead in this field, exploit the opportunities that advanced technology brings and unlock the power of artificial intelligence to improve everything we do on and off the pitch," Chelsea President Jason Gannon said.
