Crystal Palace ended a 120-year wait for their first major trophy by defeating Manchester City to win the FA Cup at Wembley Stadium.
However, their victory was controversial when goalkeeper Dean Henderson blocked Omar Marmoush' penalty after coming off a clear red card just a few minutes earlier.
Eberechi Eze's goal in the 16th minute was enough to seal a 1-0 victory and push Man City into a second consecutive defeat in the FA Cup final.
But Henderson's incident was the most notable moment in the dramatic final.
The former Manchester United goalkeeper escaped a red card for deliberately using his hand to play football before blocking Marmoush's penalty.
This result means that Palace finally won a major title. The Eagles have lost both previous FA Cup finals, both of which they lost to Man United.
Meanwhile, The Citizens were left empty-handed for the first time since Pep Guardiola first arrived in the 2016-17 campaign.

"As a player or a coach, the greatest achievement is always to give fans a moment of life. Crystal Palace have had a difficult start to the season, not winning 8 matches.
But at those times, you need words of encouragement. This title is for the team's fans" - Oliver Glasner said.
Palace finally won a major title. Their victory will give the tournament a big romantic boost and make it a reality that dreams can come true.
Glasner, who led Eintracht Frankfurt to the 2021-2022 Europa League title, has turned Palace into one of the most exciting teams in the Premier League since replacing Roy Hodgson as manager in February 2024.
Despite losing star striker Michael Olise to Bayern Munich last summer, Glasner has built a team that includes Eze, Marc Guehi, Adam Wharton and Jean-Philippe Mateta.
This group proves that they can compete with the strongest teams in the Premier League this season.
Ismaila Sarr and Daniel Munoz also had a huge impact on Palace when Glasner's plan - playing deep and counter-attacking against Man City - was perfectly effective.
And after winning a major title, Glasner now has the opportunity to repeat his success in Europe with the Selhurst Park team. They will qualify for the Europa League next season.
"We said before the match that we wanted to write our own history. And today we have really done that. Next year, when we step onto the European playground, our journey will continue.
This is our day, the fans' day, and it is forehand. I felt like I was dreaming and a little disappointed, but the next few days will help me fully realize what we have achieved" - Glasner added.
